Gonzalo Blázquez Gil holds a PhD in Computer Science and Technology from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2015). His areas of expertise include activity and emotion recognition, context-aware systems, machine learning, and computer vision. Throughout his career he has focused on applied research and close collaboration with leading technology companies on large-scale deployment projects. He currently holds a dual role as AI & Quantum Manager at ITG and Scientific Director at Flythings, where he focuses on bridging academic rigour and practical application in artificial intelligence solutions for industrial and operational environments.

José Antonio Carreiro Alonso holds a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Computer Engineering from the Universidade da Coruña, specialising in software engineering. His academic background is complemented by professional development in project management and DevOps, and he holds LPIC-OT DevOps Tools Engineer certification. He joined ITG in 2013, where he has built up solid expertise in IoT and Big Data environments and currently manages the organisation’s IoT platform. He has also contributed to projects in energy efficiency and water and sanitation infrastructure management for Galician municipalities.
