The Universidade da Coruña (UDC) is dedicated to research and teaching, earning the "HR Excellence in Research Award" in 2017. Since 2014, it has managed over 150 EU-funded projects and hosts 117 research groups, 51 of which are recognized for excellence, specializing in Industry, Sustainability, and Innovation. UDC operates 4 Technological Research Centres and 8 Research Institutes, collaborating with industry through over 300 contracts and 200 agreements annually. It has secured over €70 million in funding since 2006 and supports 12 spin-offs. The LIDIA research group, part of CITIC, specializes in artificial intelligence and machine learning, focusing on algorithm development and applications across various fields, and has participated in over 30 projects, including EU funded ones.

The University of Surrey (UoS) is a leading UK institution renowned for its cutting-edge research and exceptional teaching, particularly in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technologies. UNIVERZITA TOMASE BATI VE ZLINE

Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) is a public university established in 2001, recognized nationally and internationally. With around 10,000 students, it is a medium-sized institution comprising six faculties offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs in diverse fields such as technical sciences, economics, humanities, informatics, arts, healthcare, and logistics. TBU holds Institutional Accreditations in chemistry, food science, economic sciences, and arts education.  TBU excels in research, particularly in chemistry, materials science, polymer engineering, informatics, economics, food sciences, and design. Its specialized Research Centers, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, support high-quality fundamental research and industry collaboration. The university’s Technology Transfer Center facilitates intellectual property protection and practical application of research. Strong ties to the industrial sector reflect Zlín’s Bata system heritage, ensuring practical knowledge application in education and research. FUNDACION CENTRO DE TECNOLOGIAS DE INTERACCION VISUAL Y COMUNICACIONES VICOMTECH

Fundacion Centro de Tecnologias de Interaccion Visual y Comunicaciones (VICOMTECH) is a Research and Technology Organisation founded in 2001 in Spain, specialised, in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vison applied to different domains. The Department of Digital Health and Biomedical Technologies consists of a team of 40 researchers, focusing on five key areas: Digital Health, Predictive & Precision Medicine, Biomedical Devices, Image Analysis, and Big Data.

KATHOLIEKE UNIVERSITEIT LEUVEN

The Stadius Center for Dynamical Systems, Signal Processing, and Data Analytics (ESATSTADIUS) is a research division of the E.E. Dept. at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULEUVEN), with 13 permanent staff members and about 100 PhD & postdoc researchers. Applied and fundamental research is performed in the area of control, system identification, signal processing, machine learning, numerical optimization, and bioinformatics.

UNIVERSIDAD DE SEVILLA

With more than 69,000 students and 7,000 staff, the University of Seville (USE) is the third largest university in Spain. More than 12,000 students are following postgraduate courses, enrolled into its 111 master programmes and 32 doctoral programmes. The USE is also committed to research with more than 400 national and regional ongoing projects and more than 60 European ongoing projects. In addition to its 4,300 academic staff, there are 1,500 researchers under different contracts. Research is carried out within 134 academic departments, 8 Joint Research Centres, the USE - Spanish National Scientific Research Council (CSIC) and 13 University Research Institutes. In 2024, the USE was ranked among the top 500 universities in the world and among the top 10 universities in Spain according to the Shanghai ranking. 
The Research Group on Natural Computing, founded in 2001, is an interdisciplinary group where mathematicians and computer scientists deepen in areas from theoretical computer science, such as computational complexity theory and bioinspired models, to ecological modelling, machine learning and their applications, including the implementation of their simulators for sequential or parallel (through HPC platforms like GPU) processing, participating in more than 20 projects with partners all around the world.

The National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), founded in 1983, is a leading engineering institution in Tunisia and the Mediterranean region, renowned for its academic excellence, innovative research, and strong industry partnerships. ENIS offers a wide range of programs in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial systems engineering, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications to prepare students for real-world challenges. The school hosts advanced laboratories like the REGIM Lab, recognized for AI and robotics research, and participates in major projects funded by Horizon Europe and Erasmus+. ENIS's state-of-the-art facilities, including robotics labs and IoT testbeds, enable innovative solutions in healthcare, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0. The institution collaborates globally, translating research into impactful applications such as AI-driven healthcare and smart cities. As a partner in the THUNDER project, ENIS will contribute to developing generative models, interpretable ML models, and ethical frameworks, leveraging its expertise and advanced facilities to advance trustworthy AI solutions for global healthcare challenges.

UNIVERSITAT WIEN

The Juridicum is the oldest and largest legal faculty in the Germanspeaking world. The Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law was founded in October 2017 to face new legal questions and challenges in the 21st century. The department at the Univesity of Vienna (UNIVIE) deals with legal questions surrounding IT/IP law from a European perspective, with an emphasis on data protection, intellectual property, AI regulation and data security law.

FUNDACION CANARIA INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACION SANITARIA DE CANARIAS

The Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria (HUNSC), under the Fundación Canaria Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Canarias (FIISC), will be the center for realization of the project. HUNSC is a tertiary hospital located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, serving Tenerife and the archipelago for the last 50 years. After five decades, this hospital has evolved over time, adapting to social demands, and positioning at the forefront of the best hospital centers in its category, where almost 5,000 professionals work.

LUDWIG-MAXIMILIANS-UNIVERSITAET MUENCHEN

The LMU Klinikum, hospital has over 2,000 beds and includes 48 clinical departments, institutes, and divisions, providing comprehensive medical care and cutting-edge research. The Klinik für Anaesthesiologie at LMU Klinikum is dedicated to providing top-notch anesthesiology, intensive care, and pain management services. As part of a university hospital, the clinic places a strong emphasis on the education of medical students and the advancement of medical research. They are involved in both clinical and experimental research to develop innovative treatment strategies.
