Meet the Predict-iQanto Team
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Jean-Baptiste LEGER was CEO and co-founder, in 1999, of the PREDICT start-up innovative company. He sold PREDICT and joined Groupe Snef in 2018. He is now Chief Technology Officer at iQanto, a subsidiary of Groupe Snef dedicated to Robotics and Digital. He is graduated from Lorraine University, France and his PhD thesis, defenced in 1999, was on Formal Modelling Framework for Proactive Maintenance Systems mainly based on Monitoring, Predictive Diagnosis and Prognosis AI-oriented. He has more than 30 years of experience on usage of Artificial Intelligence in Industry and began on machine learning for CBM (Condition Based Monitoring) and advanced predictive algorithms for PHM (industrial Prognostics and Health Management). He has worked for nearly 250 companies and institutes. He has contributed to 12 European Research & Innovation collaborative projects dedicated to AI for industry since 1995. He was member of several International Scientific Society such as PHMSociety, SAE, IEEE, IFAC, BNAE, AFNOR. After his PhD, he continues to contribute to scientific research and he published 12 papers in reviews and books and more than 35 papers in conferences. He was invited for evaluation of 8 PhD thesis mainly based on predictive AI algorithms for Industry and for Healthcare.
Research and Technology manager
Dr. Flavien PEYSSON holds a PhD in Computer Science and Control Engineering (Aix-Marseille University) and an engineering background, with nearly 15 years of experience in industrial R&D at iQanto-PREDICT. A recognized expert in hybrid modelling (physics-based + data-driven), digital twins, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with applications in the maritime, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Serves as scientific lead for European Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe projects, with a track record of international publications and experience in supervising multidisciplinary research teams.
Research and Technology project manager
Dr. Leila BELMERHNIA holds a Ph.D. in Signal, Image Processing, and Computer Science (University of Lorraine/CRAN), I specialize in convex optimization, data science, and AI. After post-doctoral research at the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (MIO) focusing on environmental challenges and E. coli characterization, I am now a Project Manager at the iQanto group. As a Project Manager at the iQanto group, I oversee the setup and monitoring of national and European R&D and innovation projects. More specifically, I work on topics related to data collection, exploitation, and capitalization using advanced deep learning and artificial intelligence methods. My role also involves leading pilot experiments and implementing innovative solutions to meet the challenges of the energy transition and optimisation of industrial processes.
