Dr. Nguyen Vu Linh’s research interests fall into the design of mechanical and robotic systems for energy savings, mechanism and machine theory with a focus on the design, modelling, control, and development of intelligent means, reconfigurable mechanisms, compliant robots, and flexible, lightweight wearable devices, human-robot co-existing means with safe physical interactions and collaborations. His research is applied to the development of industrial robots, surgical robots, assistive devices, robotic grippers, vibration isolators, and renewable energy harvesting systems.
