✅ Secondment from ULille to KU LEUVEN (09/2026 - 10/2026)

Published: 09/15/2026

During his secondment at KU Leuven, Clément Chauvet strengthened his technical skills in developing and evaluating machine learning models for ANA indirect immunofluorescence image classification. He gained practical experience in image preprocessing, and multicentre research.

A key outcome of the secondment was the opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, clinical practice, and laboratory medicine. Through close collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and laboratory specialists, Clément gained a better understanding of how clinical expertise, laboratory workflows, and data management requirements must be integrated to develop reliable and transferable AI solutions. This interdisciplinary and international exchange of knowledge, which is central to the MSCA Staff Exchanges programme, also strengthened his ability to communicate across disciplines, coordinate research activities, and share scientific findings with diverse audiences.
